Found these cute little drawings on inspired ideas...add some watercolor crayons and it makes for some happy kiddos - and momma!

Cleaning up

The kids had set down to paint the other day.  Tanner's interest in painting is short most of the time, so today after he was done I asked him to wash the brushes and bowls out for me.  The painting part lasted about 15 minutes...the clean up part - about 30minutes!

I always find it interesting  to pick up my camera...my youngest takes frequent pictures...of everything!  Most times I find pictures of his daddy, PBS on the computer, toys on the floor, a snack he's eaten...you get the picture.

New art supplies!!!

I placed an order for new art supplies (some are waiting to be opened on Christmas) from Stubby Pencil Studio...LOVE THEM!  I have been waiting for about 2 months to order the rock crayons - everytime I got online to check, they were out of them - I was finally able to order them, and we are enjoying them!  I always love when Emily draws - I didn't get a picture of her drawing, she would have thought that was "weird"  ;) but I did take a picture of her pictures that she was doodling while trying out the new art goodies - rock crayons and watercolor pencils - too cool!

 

 

 

 

Livin' like a toddler should...

 

Some might call this lazy...pajamas mid day, playing play dough and clay while still showing your morning bed hair...I call it living just right for a little guy who is lucky enough to be hanging out at his own home all day.

Leaf rubbings...done!

I so had been wanting to do these leaf rubbings.  It has been awhile since I mentioned them...

We finally got around to doing them, and the kids truly enjoyed them.  I don't know which was better...taking a walk to go find pretty leaves, or using the crayons and watercolors!

 

 

Love of recycled stuff...

I don't know what these are - they were marked as color tablets.  I picked them up for 50 cents...figured I couldn't buy a color matching game for 50 cents.  The best part...the kids love them!

 

 

I also came home from our weekend with old strawberry baskets for weaving.

I love great, cheap fun!

Pumpkin Fun

 

 

 

Tanner enjoyed picking out some seeds before I cleaned the pumpkin out for pumpkin prints.  Now I just need to find time to try out making pumpkin soup - from the Highlights magazine!

How does a Catholic boy fish?

   

With a Palm Leaf of course! 

We had moved stuff from the living room to the boys room while painting...this is what I walked into.  I asked little one what he was doing and his reply was "ishing ike Hou" - translation - "fishing like Houston".

I have never really known what to do with my families palm leaves so it seems they always end up on a shelf somewhere in our house.  I always forget to take them back to the church to be burned.

When I have time like this with my boys - 15 and 2 1/2, I wonder how many more times I will have both my boys at the park together playing?  Before long, one of the boys will think he is too old to be playing like this...but thankfully not yet!
